May’s Meat Run
Today Mummy and Daddy did a meat run again. No new protein this month because Mummy wants me to get more used to lamb in my diet. The only “new” thing is lamb leg (last month I got lamb shank). Uncle Sunny said that the leg is more tender than lamb shank so Mummy decided to get that for me instead. Mmmmmm….yum yums!
This month’s meals will also see more variety! Wheee…Mummy and Daddy got more pork, beef and lamb and a little less chicken for this month which is awesomes because I’ve been getting SO much chicken in the last year it’s starting to get a little boring. I have to say I’m really lovin’ pork!
I should probably get a better variety in terms of bone…so far I’m only eating chicken bones with some rabbit bones when it’s rabbit days. But I’m pretty lazy about chomping big big pieces of bone so any bone other than chicken, rabbit and other birds like quail would probably be too big for me and I wouldn’t even wanna try. I could definitely handle bigger bones if I really wanted to (I’ve eaten a piece of rabbit leg bone before which is about the thickness of Mummy’s little finger and is harder than rib bones) but most times I don’t want to : p
Mummy and Daddy were having a long discussion yesterday about whether to cut my meats into smaller pieces or not…Mummy doesn’t want to cut them too small so that it forces me to chew more and Daddy thinks I still won’t chew more anyway so they should cut them smaller so that I don’t get indigestion. Daddy spoils me…..I love Daddy.
