Liver Liver Every Other Day
The raw diet/frankenprey/ RMB diet guideline for feeding liver is to feed 5% liver. Since I get approximately 100g of food a day, I should be getting about 5g of liver a day. You don’t have to feed exactly 5% of liver, 5% of other organs and 10% of bone everyday. A balanced diet over time is fine so you can feed more or less (or none at all) of each component (i.e. boneless meat, bone, liver and other organs) over a few days (but ideally not more than a week) to achieve 80% boneless meat, 10% bone, 5% liver and 5% other organs.
So a couple of months ago, because they were a little lazy, Mummy and Daddy started cutting approximately 10g pieces of liver instead of 5g pieces intending to feed me one piece every other day.
But once the livers were packed into the boxes, Mummy and Daddy couldn’t figure out which had liver and which didn’t. So there would be some days when I would get 2 to 3 days of liver in a row. And because they were bigger pieces, I was eating more liver than I should have been eating over those few days.
Mummy thinks that that might be the cause for my wet poo. So for the next batch of meals that they packed this weekend, Mummy thought of a way to identify which boxes had liver and which didn’t. She bought these dot stickers and wrote L on a whole bunch of them. Then she used them to label the boxes which had liver.
Orange L dots! Quick and easy labels.
So this will really help Mummy and Daddy to stick to feeding me liver once every other day and hopefully this will help with the wet poop thing!

Hello miss meow, how is the 10% bone introduced into your diet?
I get 1/4 of a chicken wing, wing tip, or chicken rib bone (with some meat still on). I get one piece everyday and Mummy is trying to add an extra piece once every couple of days because the normal portion may not be exactly 10g of bone.
Thanks! I just started homemade raw yesterday when my commercial Barf run out. I put together some chicken breast, mash carrots and salmon oil. Not a balanced diet but my cat loved it!! Wld wanna start experimenting more with homemade raw and getting the meal right
Oh if Mr Fox is just starting on bones, you can try chicken ribs or neck. They are softer and would be easier. Remember that there should still be some meat on the bone.
All the best with the transition to home made raw! Keep me updated on how it goes!
Thanks for the tip and yep i will
